49 Days
When one thinks of traveling to Israel, El Al is the airline one usually calls. The iconic blue and white eagles carry people from all over the world to the Holy Land and back.
It was 49 years ago, in 1961, that El Al, in the pioneering spirit of the State of Israel, set the world record for longest non-stop commercial flight. Covering 5,760 miles, the plane took off in New York City and landed in Tel Aviv nine and a half hours later. Not bad for a thirteen-year-old country! Must have been some Bar Mitzvah celebration :)

Every year, tens of El Al pilots and flight attendants dance and sing up Fifth Avenue on Parade Day, and this year will be no exception... so come celebrate Israel's many accomplishments with El Al and the rest of the Parade on Sunday, May 23rd!
